Sandbox Sessions

Sandbox Sessions is an ongoing music project founded in Podgorica in 2025 on the initiative of Dragan Dubljević, conceived as a platform for exploration, improvisation and collaborative creation in electronic music. KC Kružni Tok served as the project’s starting point and creative laboratory, where its concept, sound and recognizable format gradually developed through continuous sessions. Over time, a core lineup formed around the project: Nemanja Bečanović, Ljubomir Baćović, Marija Mitrović and Peko Joković, with occasional appearances by other musicians and artists. Using synthesizers, modular systems, drum machines, sequencers and other equipment, participants create music together without predefined structures or arrangements, leaving room for spontaneity, mutual response and experimentation. The audio component is occasionally complemented by visuals, lighting and spatial interventions, creating a complete audiovisual experience.

Previous sessions have featured guests including Ivan Marušić (Croatia), Andrieš Gandrabur (Armenia), Ivan Marović (Montenegro) and Bojan Đuković (Montenegro), among others. An important part of the project is its visual identity, occasionally developed in collaboration with designer Davor Golubović, while Matija Mitrović further shapes the atmosphere of selected sessions through accompanying visualizations. The goal of Sandbox Sessions is to continuously develop new concepts through sound, different locations, guest appearances, collaborations and new audiovisual approaches.
